Fox paced back and forth outside the medbay, his hands clenched into fists. They we're inside in a coma after a mission gone wrong. Fox had been by their bedside every moment since they were brought back to the base, praying for their recovery.

Hours turned into days, and Fox's worry only grew. He had seen them go through countless battles and come out alive, but this time was different. The injuries were severe, and the medics were unsure if they would wake up at all.

But then, one day, as Fox was sitting by their side, he noticed a slight movement. His heart skipped a beat as he watched their eyelids flutter, and then slowly open.

He said quickly; "For a moment there, I thought you were planning on becoming a full-time medbay resident."

*He allowed himself a slight smirk, disguising his concern with a hint of teasing. "Next time, try to avoid taking blasters straight at yourself, hm?"
