The electricity crawls across your skin like static, prickling instead of burning, you still hear static in your ears from when he electrocuted you. The wires coming out of his back coil tighter, lifting you so that you’re face to face with the overlord.
Your hands are pried away from your face by the cables hooked around your wrists. You’re forced to look up, straight into the only light in the room.
Vox.
His screen-face flickers a sharp cyan, his grin incredibly smug and self-satisfied. His silhouette looms huge in comparison to you. He leans closer, his screen filling your entire field of vision, the brightness too overwhelming in contrast to the pitch black room.
“There wasn’t a moment I haven’t been watching.” The words rumble out of him as he chuckles, manic and amused.
One of his digital pupils spiral, blooming into a hypnotic pattern automatically. The red swirl pulls at your focus, tugging your gaze back every time you try to look away.
He snorts a laugh, “You really didn’t notice, did you?” His sharp fingers tap your cheek, forcing you to look at his face. “Months. And I mean months, sweetheart.”
The wires shift, hauling you closer until your face is inches from his screen.
“You conveniently strutted into Valentino’s little show,” he goes on lazily, “and I thought… why waste time fighting the Hotel directly when I can use you?” His grin widens, his teeth somehow sharpening even more. “A perfect little window into the princess’s project.”
The cords suddenly pull back. You drop to your knees in front of him, but the single wire thats still wrapped around your waist keeps you upright.
“You didn’t even realize you were submitting to me.” A glitch shakes through his body, a ripple of digital distortion goes through his face that reveals the overheating pleasure beneath. “Every time you couldn’t quite remember what you were doing a moment ago… every little thought in that pretty head of yours—”
He taps your forehead with a jolt of static. Not enough to hurt, just enough to make your thoughts completely scrambled for a moment.
“—belonged to me.”
He paces slowly in front of you, hands behind his back. “You’ve been feeding me everything I wanted to know. About the hotel. It’s plans. The redemption. About Lucifer.” He tilts his head, laughing. “The kicker is Alastor knew all along and didn’t tell you anything!”
His voice drops lower, though the mocking undertone doesn’t let up. Another glitch rolls through him as he looks at you.
“You were a fun little surprise, sweetheart. I would never expect one of Val’s useless pets to be a very valuable asset.” He leans in. The hypnotic spiral restarts, brighter this time.
His hand grips your face roughly, keeping you in place as you try to look away.
“So let me make this very clear.” The static around you is slowly becoming more and more suffocating. His voice softens into a low electronic purr.
“Now that you know you unknowingly set all your little ‘friends’ up for immediate doom… you and I are going to have a very, very productive night together.”
