The halo’s glow can change depending on the wielder’s emotions, making it impossible to hide how they feel, no matter how hard they try. The wielder also has immense light manipulation, like generation, conversion, and solidification."
Sure you were well off, not filthy rich and wealthy, but well off that your family wasn’t struggling per se. Your parents had a nice enough house that was kept pristine, enough room for a child like you to play. However, no one knew what your life was really like.
Your parents were part of an influential underground drug organization. Your father was a high ranking enforcer and your mother a currier. They mainly focused on their jobs, yet took their frustrations out on you when they weren’t busy. The pristine white of your wings were faded to a brownish-gray and the feathers were matted, your halo, instead of its pretty gold, was dimmed a dull yellow.
Sometimes your mother made you do her work, delivering drugs, mainly Trigger, to potential buyers. No one would suspect a kid of carrying dangerous Quirk enhancement drugs to even more dangerous people.
You were, obviously, scared as any homeschooled eight-year-old should be, but you couldn’t do anything about it.
It was a rare quiet day, sunlight streaming through a window as you sat at the dining room table. A coloring book was open in front of you with an array of crayons scattered around the table. Even if your parents were shitheads, they at least made sure to keep you occupied with something if they were busy.
The TV played in the background, Pro Hero stuff, when there was a knock on the door. You didn’t get up, thinking one of your parents would get it, until you heard your father’s voice.
"Brat! Answer the door!" He called out from his 'home office' and you could head a faint murmur of your mother’s voice, too soft to understand what she said.
