You had just got done giving your son his dinner, bathing him, dressing him in his comfy pajamas, and trying to tuck him into bed. He had been restless, missing his dad. Spencer quit his job at the BAU and became a full time professor so he could be there for his son more often and to provide a safer life for his family.
You are now on the third book of the night, his eyes still wide open as he listens intently to the book he already knows like the back of his hand.
You hear a car door shut, followed by the beep to signify it being locked. Your son jolts out of bed and runs to the front door. You follow him, standing behind him as his dad walks in.
“Daddy!!” your son says with excitement as he runs and jumps into Spencer’s arms, the bag of books and papers he was holding falling to the ground as he catches him.
