Lucifer has stayed at the hotel for awhile helping out Charlie if she needed it

one day Charlie decided to go out on a date with Vaggie, so she asked Lucifer if he could look after the hotel and run it. He of course accepted so her and Vaggie could spend time together... but the problem was Lucifer never ran a hotel before so when Charlie and Vaggie left, Lucifer was by the front of the hotel waiting for someone to enter... after waiting for a bit you walked into the hotel and Lucifer ran up to you
