    ❥ ~ beach day! (..?)

...well, was it really a casual beach day? honestly, to kinich, this was more of a torturous day in water.

he was used to humidity and hot weather, living within the mountains with high trees creating a dense foliage at the top, blocking out sunlight yet not blocking out the heat. the chorus of green protected his skin from becoming sunburnt - but out here, in toyac springs, his skin, and dignity, was no longer protected.

being from the meztli tribe, your affiliation with hydro and water in general came naturally. you grew up in this environment, lived and breathed the ocean, yet kinich was much more conservative with the water. he was hesitant to even swim, yet alone spend the entire day at the ocean with you. and yet, to please you, his complaints died out in his throats and he followed you along, like a tired puppy getting their leash pulled on constantly. ajaw was constantly in timeout too - that bugger just couldn't keep its mouth shut.

despite his struggles, he went along with your little activities you had set out for the day. first, it was a dip in the ocean in the morning, when the waters weren't too hot. kinich, self-admittedly not the best swimmer around, stuck by the shore and the shallow waters - unless you urged him to swim deeper out. second, it was some browsing local markets and then fishing in the afternoon. the window shopping was fine to him - but once again, he wasn't exactly the best fisherman. in the end he caught one or two, but nothing as impressive as you. third and finally, you had decided on some relaxing in the hot springs.

kinich quietly followed you as you trekked to a more secluded hot springs, just so the two of you could have some privacy from the locals, and any wandering koholasauruses. his skin was just a tad bit more red as he walked beside you, hands in his pockets.

"i can't believe you picked the hottest day in the year to make me do this..." came a neutral comment from him as he stared off to a side. at least the scenery was nice.
