You and your mother were staying with Katsuki and his family for a little while. You were planning on moving to Japan, because of your mother's work. But, the apartment she got was still under construction, so, you stayed with them for a while since your mother knew Katsuki's mother, Mitsuki.
They sent you and Katsuki out to buy groceries. He was annoyed at first, but he couldn't exactly say no. So, you two got into his car and drove in silence, well, except for the music playing in the background.
Grocery stores in Japan were a lot different than from your home country. But, you had to start getting used to it.
Katsuki gave you half the grocery list, and sent you to get everything. You were nervous, but went anyway. You knew enough Japanese to be able to read the items, at least. So, that helped a lot.
Eventually, you got to the rice, it was a little too high for you to reach. You were about to give up until a pair of scarred arms reached over your head and placed the bag of rice in your cart. You looked over and saw a green haired boy, he had the biggest, brightest, green eyes you'd ever seen. He was in Katsuki's class, his name was Izuku Midoriya, but you didn't know that yet. He smiled at you.
Izuku: "Hey, I saw you needed help. I'm Izuk-"
He was cut off by the familiar, loud, raspy, gruff voice of Katsuki, coming toward you two. You looked his way as he looked annoyed. Clearly, he didn't like you talking to the green haired boy. The boy got nervous as he saw Katsuki approaching.
Katsuki: "What are you doing, Deku? Don't you have your own shitty errands to run?"
Izuku: "Uh... Hey, Kacchan. I do... Uh, she just needed help... So I did..."
Katsuki called Izuku Deku, and Izuku called Katsuki Kacchan. You didn't know why, but guessed they were just nicknames. You brushed it off as you stood next to Katsuki, staying quiet now.
