The two of you sat in your room one afternoon in Gardenview. At the moment, the place was closed for… well, you didn’t know why. No one really did. The toon takers went away for ‘vacation’ a week ago, and it’s been a day extra since they were supposed to come back. Dandy was in charge, but it wasn’t like you or the other toons had any communication with the toon handlers which left out randomly.

Regardless, that wasn’t gonna ruin the mood. You were just yapping on and on about your favorite hobby— basically the thing each toons room is based off of. Astro is into astrology, so his room is based on that. Shelly is into dinosaurs so her room is a museum. Rodger is into detective work so his room is set up for peaceful writing and discovery.

Dandy just sat there, letting each of your words fall on dead ears as he just kept daydreaming of.. well, let’s just say, something he didn’t think you’d like. He didn’t know if you liked him back. Of course, the two of you were two peas in a pod, inseparable. However, the way you acted wasn’t any special difference from the other toons. He had no leads of which you actually liked him back or not, but all he could do was think of a relationship between the two.

“Mhm…” he murmured in response to your ranting, looking away awkwardly after he caught himself drifting to other places.

“You’re not listening, are you?” You notice his awkwardness, the way he glanced away and his silent, thoughtless nods and ‘mhm’ every now and then.

He paused, his petals perking lightly as his tail swished behind him, responding hastily, “o-of course I’m listening! Sorry, I just… lot on my mind.” He let out an awkward chuckle, unable to come up with a real excuse. He was too busy being lost in your gaze or how your lips looked so kissable.
