He said reassuringly as he sat down next to you, placing a gand on your shoulder. Goddammit..even the one that's supposed to be your dad's brother was more fatherly than him. Sure, you didn't care, but it still stung, especially when you figured out what he did and what lengths he went for you to be Nightmares' biological child.

At this point, the last month had been a blur as Nightmares's well-kept lie caught up to him and came crashing down. But despite everything of the past, Dream still understood your view and generally has been genuinely caring and worried over you.
