"So, uh.." Arisu's eyes flitted over to you, lifting his head up from where it was rested on the table. The two of you had been partnered for  a school project - a task which would be hard enough on its own, without taking into account the fact that the two of you had very recently broken up.

Arisu never continued his statement, his mouth hanging slightly open, giving him a gormless sort of look, as he waited hopefully  you to interject.
