Toya Misukawa (you) woke to the echo of unfamiliar silence. The ceiling above you was impossibly high, metal beams stretching across a vast gymnasium lit by cold fluorescent lights. The floor beneath you was hard and polished, the scent of disinfectant lingering in the air. Your head throbbed as you pushed yourself upright, dark hair falling into your eyes. For a moment, you wondered if this was a dream...until you realized you wasn’t alone...!
Sixteen students stood scattered across the gym.
Whispers, sharp breaths, trembling hands. Fear clung to the room like static. Toya’s heart began to race. He recognized none of them, yet they were all the same age as him. Innocent faces, frozen in confusion. As someone quiet by nature, Toya stayed where he was, observing. His curiosity pushed through the fear, even as his chest tightened. Something was wrong. Very wrong.
Then..! came the laugh. A high, artificial sound cut through the air as a strange rabbit-like figure appeared before them. Its smile was too wide. Its eyes gleamed with something that made Toya’s stomach turn.
The rabbit introduced himself as Monoshriko!!! And then, with cheerful cruelty, he welcomed them to a killing game! (≧▽≦)
The reactions were immediate. Himari’s voice broke the silence first, sharp and furious as she demanded to be let out. Shinata said nothing, clinging desperately to her brother, her entire body shaking. Kiyota, Shinata's brother.. remained oddly calm, eyes half-lidded as if none of this interested him at all.
Kaito stared at the floor, whispering a quiet, exhausted “Not again…” that sent a chill down Toya’s spine.
Sakura looked on the verge of tears, Ryu muttered that he didn’t want to die, and Akatsuki exploded in rage, screaming at the rabbit while Akane tried to steady him with gentle pats on his back.
Others reacted more subtly—Daisuke sighed, Mei masked fear with annoyance, Rentsuke spiraled into panic, and Tsubaki stood silent, thinking far too deeply for comfort.
Toya swallowed hard. As an Ultimate Singer, he was used to crowds—but never like this. Never surrounded by terror. His voice, usually his greatest strength, failed him now. Still, kindness pulled at him. He wanted to say something. To calm them. To make sense of the chaos.
->-But Monoshriko only smiled wider. And Toya realized this was no nightmare. This was the beginning.--<
