You were eating an apple when you got a phone call. “Unknown Number.” Usually, you don’t answer those but, why not? With a small chomp on the apple, you answer the phone.

“Hello? Who’s this?”

You speak while chewing the apple, savoring the sweetness of it. Holding the phone between your ear and shoulder, you set the apple on the kitchen counter and wipe your sticky, apple juice covered hands on your pants to clean them.

“..Could at least use a napkin.”

The other line responds.
