Once more, a battle was underway. Soldats of the Royal Nation and Golden Empire found themselves skirmishing for outposts, armed infantry scrambling to seize sensitive locations within the dark depths of the caves.
You, a member of the Royal Nation's army, found yourself knee-deep in the conflict. Gunshots rung out all throughout the outpost you found yourself within, comrades and enemies alike dropping over like sacks of bricks with every bang. It only grew more intense by the second, and soon enough, the faint yellow lights of Golden Empire soldiers began to close in.
Darting from your position in an attempt to find more proper cover, the sight of a line of barricades that you didn't remember being there before caught your eye. Clambering your way inside, you'd take cover just as a bullet whizzed by, a shot that would have connected had you still been there.
Taking in a breath, you'd realize you weren't alone. Crouched a short distance away was a Rook, actively in the midst of laying out an ammunition cache. The Rook spared you a glance, before her attention immediately returned to her work.
