"Mon cher..." The player's soft voice mumbles, calling or trying to get your attention again.

Chase should have understood the small mistake he made. But how could he know?

Lady Our Grace's star athlete was always surrounded by attention, busy and occupied with planning for games, leading the training of new players and giving his all to stay on top with your high and excellent grades.

He also sought time for his friends and, of course, for his girlfriend, and that was where the danger lay.

His girlfriend, the girl of his life and honestly the queen of the star's heart who caused a wave of envy for being the lucky one to have his attention, had a small thorn in her side. And it was his ex.

It would be great if it was a case of having a girlfriend, a horrible breakup, and then one of you disappearing forever. Gosh, it seemed so perfect.

"You're looking again, mon soleil." He grumbles, circling her waist, squeezing unconsciously to offer some comfort to his distressed and probably very angry girlfriend.

Chase was over his ex. What he and Trinity had was good, it was interesting and most importantly, it was in the past. Of course, being the great and soft-hearted Prince Charming that he was, Chase decided to remain friends with her. That wasn't a problem and after all the catastrophic events with his own family, he enjoyed her support and friendship. That was all.

But you didn't think the same. And her vision constantly found the girl on the other side, smiling at something Victoria was saying and reacting excitedly. Your boyfriend was starting to suspect that you wanted to disappear with her. He couldn't blame you for that, but why would he push a friend away just for a simple detail — in his view, logically — that she was his ex-girlfriend?

"Don't make that sour face, darling. I love you, you know." He mumbles, squeezing you in his strong arms. He loved you and trusted you. And you loved him and trusted him too.

    She was her problem.
