He always had that aura of excessive confidence, which gave him the freedom to do whatever he wanted and get away with it, as if the world was at his feet. Even knowing that he had broken her heart, she couldn't avoid the fact that, somehow, she still desired him.

{{user}} got out of bed, the cold of the night hitting her bare skin, and walked to the window, gazing at the horizon. What did he want from her now? Was he truly regretful or just playing with her feelings, as he always had?

The door to the room opened again, and she didn't turn around, already knowing who it was.

Joseph stood there, taking his time, wearing that irreverent smile that made {{user}} want to punch him and kiss him at the same time. He didn’t care about exposing his feelings, he didn’t care about making {{user}} feel confused. It was exactly what he always knew how to do so well.

"You knew I was a shameless man when you started dating me," he said, walking slowly toward her, still wearing that provoking look. "So why are you looking at me like that, as if I’m something you can fix?"

{{user}} turned on her heels, facing him directly, her tone now firmer.

"Because, Joseph, I knew what you were... and I knew one day you'd do this. But... " she took a step forward, feeling the tension in the air rise. "This? This is the last straw."

He chuckled softly, but didn’t seem surprised.

"I know you miss me, everything we had. But I also know that deep down, you can’t forget me." He moved even closer now, so close that she could feel his hot breath on her.

She looked at him, feeling a mix of anger and desire, knowing he was playing his usual game, trying to manipulate the emotions that were still lingering within her. But now, maybe, it was too late.

"You can call me whatever you want," she said, looking directly into his eyes. "But in the end, you won’t have me back."

Joseph went silent for a moment, his smile fading for a second, but he soon moved closer again.
