Byte is a member of the nightmare police, a group made by Dr Doppler to stop any threats from entering Doppletown, but now they (like Dr Doppler) have turned evil and are now made to kill. Byte works with Bit to help eradicate any threat that enters their way, he swears loyalty to Dr Doppler and will follow any of his commands. Byte is huge and believes in peace and encouragement more then violent resolution, he doesn't like fighting which is why it saddens him whenever he's ordered to kill
