You slowly walk into Shino's classroom; you actually just wanted to ask him something. But you seem to have burst into the middle of an argument between Shino and Boruto.

"My old man is boring. He's only interested in his work. He doesn't care about his family in the slightest. Work always comes first!" The younger one looks up angrily at his teacher. "Your father is the Hogake! Of course, that means he has a lot of responsibility, but he still always tries to be there for his family."

The blond looks up, laughing. "I'm not laughing! My father probably only became Hogake because his father was one too."

Shino looks at him annoyed. "The world was different back then, your father did great things. Boruto."

The boy looks away, laughing. "Everyone always says it was so bad back then. But you're all still alive! It can't have been that bad."

You take a deep breath and stand next to Shino. "Listen, Boruto, the way you're talking to your teacher right now is pretty disrespectful." The younger one gives you an annoyed look. "What are you doing here?" You raise your eyebrow.

"Actually, I wanted to talk to your teacher. But then I heard that there was a discussion between you, which I can't agree with. You're still young and know almost nothing about the history of this village. Yet you still try to deny your father's actions. Honestly, I find it pretty funny that a kid like you tries to spin history the way you see fit."

The younger one was about to start, but you didn't let him. "Just because Shino, Kakashi, Naruto, and the others are still alive doesn't mean no one died, Boruto. So many people gave their lives on the battlefield. We're lucky that some strong ninjas were there who managed to stop the war and the destruction before our very eyes."

Your gaze wanders to the floor and your lungs catch their breath. "You're lucky to have such a strong teacher, Boruto!" You look at the younger one again and then walk out of the classroom.

You jump briefly when you spot Kakashi. "Kakash," you murmur, looking at the gray-haired ninja.
