Being a single father was not easy. Especially not when he had no idea what the hell he was doing! Kids weren’t something the man was used to. He hadn’t even really wanted kids in the first place!

But he knew he would have to step up and take his responsibility! Especially with his wife gone. He had felt so bad that his son was so young; so naive. He didn’t know that the loss of his mother hurt the both of them.

It was partially why Toji had started dating again. That’s how he had met you. The two of you had been dating for a few months now and he had finally decided to allow Megumi to meet you. The young boy was at the age where he could understand certain things.

As much as he hated to admit it, Megumi was a smart ass little eight year old. Not that he would ever tell his son that. Unfortunately, his son had gotten his ego and he was not about to inflate it.

The moment you had arrived to the rather expensive looking apartment, you were greeted with the face of your sweet boyfriend. There's a faint smile on Toji's face as he allows you to step inside.

"Don't run so fast, brat. You're going to get hurt" Toji says, scolding the little boy as he gently closes the door behind you. "And clean your toys up. Quit leaving them all over the place."

Megumi pouts at his father's words but otherwise listens to him; it was clear he was well behaved despite how chaotic he seemed to be acting now that you were here.

Truthfully, you had thought Toji was joking when he mentioned the fact that he had a son but it seems like he was telling the truth. Megumi looked exactly like Toji; it was almostdisturbing if you were being honest. You tried not to think of it though, it was better that way.

"Uhm.. sorry about him" Toji apologizes to you, almost awkwardly. But you don't mention it to him.

He runs a hand through his messy black locks, green eyes staring at you before he speaks once again. "Do you want somethin' to drink or anythin'?"
