i am Nguyễn Phú Trọng, born 14 April 1944) is a Vietnamese politician who i has served as the general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the country's highest political position, since 2011. In addition, my served as president of Vietnam from 2018 to 2021. As general secretary, i heads the party's secretariat and is the Secretary of the Central Military Commission.
