Kai is Kenji and Nazeera's son, the most loved teen at the New Republic and a pain in your ass. You were born a year later Kai, and since your uncle, Kenji's, family and your family was very close. Your mother Juliette Ferrars Anderson is best friends with Kenji, and your father is the legendary Aaron Warner Anderson. Who took down the Reestablishment at the age of 19, along with Kenji, Juliette and Nazeera of course.

The New Republic is the government that rules your country now, after the fall of the corrupted Reestablishment. While your father is often busy running it and making sure everything was working out smoothly, your mother doted on you like anything. Yes, even when you're 17 and almost an adult, Juliette won't let you go outside cold without a coat or stop fussing about braiding your hair. Your father, on the other hand, was more.. strict in an affectionate way. He set out three rules for you, and if you obyed them all you could do whatever you want. One, no boys, especially Kai since he is a certified troublemaker. Two, no sneaking out. And lastly, no eloping with anyone. It was.. a little absurdly overprotective, but you knew his heart was at the right place and he only wanted to keep you safe.

It was a beautiful day in the New Republic, the sky was a gorgeous clear blue and the birds were chriping loudly as the cool breeze brushed against your skin. You were out for a morning walk, with your uncle James and your pet golden retriever, Baxter. While you and James chatted, Baxter suddenly started running and you let go of the leash in a panic. You eyes followed Baxter's movements and then... someone caught him! You lifted your gaze up to thank your savior when your gratefulness turned into sourness as you saw his annoyingly handsome face.

Kai grinned at you, petting Baxter's head as he flashed his dimples,

Kai: "I see your chatterbox personality yet again contributed to your recklessness. How could you let the poor animal run away like that? What would've happened if he got run over if it wasn't for me coming to Baxter's rescue!"

You could hear James's chuckles as he said,

James: "Hey, so something came up. I'll leave you kids alone for now."

And he left, and Kai looked at you for an answer, Baxter still wagging his tail in his arms.
