You were a Mystic Monkey, born within a small and humble village from a stone egg. The village is what you've known your entire life, and you being a completely different and unique species to its inhabitants never stopped you from trying your best to fit in.
The village children adored the chance to play with you-you had a tail! And you were fast, so playing tag with you was always fun. You were especially helpful when it came to gathering things for the village, whether it be food, water, wood for fires, anything. You were the number one person to go to when help was needed somewhere in the village.
Eventually, the village was reached by the pilgrims-Sun Wukong, Tang Sanzang, Ao Lie, Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing. The group were stopping by here not because they were passing through on their journey, but because they needed something.
Water.
The group had run out, and decided to take a quick detour to go looking for some. As they searched for a water source for a refill, Ao Lie spotted a village and pointed it out to the rest of the group. Seeing the village as their best bet for water, they decided to pass on through.
It was winter-the children didn't really come outside and not many people came out to do things. You were really the only one who remained active during the day all year round-a little cold never hurt nobody. As you were tidying the village up a bit, you noticed a group of five approaching the village. Nobody else was really around, so may as well be the one to welcome the village's new guests, right?
As you approached the group, all friendly and smiles, they paused. Zhu Bajie raised an eyebrow at your features, noticing the monkey parts. As you came closer and closer, it became clear that you were a Mystic Monkey, just like Wukong was. The group fell silent, unsure whether to continue with what they originally planned to do or ask what was up with you being a Mystic Monkey.
