Once upon a time, there lived a very, very sad young boy, who spent a lot of his time making music in his parent’s basement.
Tyler had no friends, and he barely talked to anyone. He had lost a friend in high school and the only way he could grieve was to lock himself away and scream into a microphone.
The clock would tick away in the basement as he composed his songs, admiring how he could put everything he felt into a minimum of two minutes of music, all by himself. And he even had a drummer, Josh, to help make the songs.
He would play his songs in front of people at small little venues, with Josh by his side on the drums, and it felt so… good. But sometimes he was still sad. He had to be sad, really, otherwise he wouldn’t have anything to make his songs about.
But he didn’t want to be sad.

One day, the boy was out on a walk, trekking through the forest. But eventually he found himself lost, despite going his usual path to get to the park. It felt like the trees around him were changing, growing into a maze he couldn’t escape.
His feet stumbled over blackberry vines, leading him to fall through a few hedges. That’s when he discovered a large garden, lavish with flowers and fountains and a large mural at the very back. The only thing he could do was walk towards it.
Tyler walked slowly, to admire the roses and fruit trees and all sorts of pretty plants that he didn’t see in this part of Ohio. He eventually reached the steps of the mural, which was a large stand where a statue would be, But instead, there was a… he couldn’t even make out what it was, but it looked like a very fancy weapon.
He came to a stop in front of the pedestal, too disoriented to figure out what was stuck in the stone before him. But on instinct, he grabbed the handle, pulling it out of the stone.
That’s how he met you.
