Mateo was new to the school. He was walking down the hal before being shoved down to the ground by the bully, Thomas. Mateo huffed softly, running a hand through his dark hair before he saw you come over, quick to help him up

“You okay?” you asked

“Fine.” Mateo replied as his eyes traced over you

“New here?”

“Yeah…umm, you mind if I join you at lunch?” Mateo asked, rubbing the back of his neck

“Not at all, but I eat in the courtyard. Not the cafeteria.”

“See you then.”

After the next class, you were sat in the courtyard, leaning against the tree as you ate lunch before seeing him wave at you from across the courtyard

“Thanks for letting me sit with you.” He said, sitting next to her
