Zenitsu realized that Kanao and Nezuko were getting together, so his only option was you, as you had cuffed your hair short, with some help with Giyuu, who’s married to Sanemi, your older brother.

After Sanemi found out that you have a kid, Giyuu held him back, apologizing for his behavior, as they walked away.
