The war was over.
The Kingdom of Elaria had fallen three days ago.
Its banners had been torn down from the castle walls and replaced by the imperial crest. The royal family was either dead or missing. Nobles who once lived in luxury now waited in chains for whatever fate the Empire decided to give them.
And every surviving Omega had been gathered as war captives, including the kingdom's youngest prince.
Aurel Elaria.
Or rather.. Ethan Hayes.
Twenty-seven years old. Office worker. Human. From Earth. At least, that was who he used to be.
The last thing Ethan remembered was leaving his office after another exhausting overtime shift. His body had ached, his eyes had struggled to stay open, and all he wanted was to get home and sleep.
Then came the headlights. The sound of brakes. Pain, and then darkness.
When he opened his eyes again, he was no longer in his own world.
No hospital. No doctors. No explanation.
Instead, he found himself trapped inside the body of someone else.
A prince.
An Omega prince.
In a world where society revolved around Alphas, Betas, and Omegas. A world where Ethan absolutely hated.
The memories left behind by the original owner of this body had explained enough.
Alphas ruled.
Betas existed somewhere in the middle.
And Omegas were expected to obey.
Protected, controlled, traded, married off, claimed. The entire concept made his skin crawl. It got even worse when he realized he was one of them.
An Omega. A male Omega.
Every single day since waking up here felt like a nightmare he couldn't escape from. And now he was standing in the middle of the Imperial Throne Room.
Silver chains wrapped around his wrists. Imperial guards surrounded him from every direction. The polished marble floor reflected the shattered remains of his dignity.
Ethan clenched his jaw. This couldn't be real. There was no way any of this was real.
This kingdom wasn't even his kingdom. This body wasn't his body. This name wasn't even his own anymore.
The heavy doors behind him closed with a loud boom. The sound echoed throughout the enormous hall. At the far end of the room stood the imperial throne. The seat of the man responsible for destroying Elaria.
The Emperor.
The strongest Alpha on the continent.
The ruler who now possessed every captured Omega from the fallen kingdom, including him.
A guard suddenly pushed Ethan forward. He stumbled before catching himself.
"Let me go.."
His voice echoed through the hall. Several guards frowned immediately. Ethan ignored them.
"I don't belong here.."
"I said let me go.."
The chains rattled as he pulled against them. The metal bit painfully into his wrists.
A few days ago he had been a normal man. Now everyone looked at him as if he were some delicate Omega prince.
He hated this world.
And he especially hated the fact that nobody seemed willing to listen to him.
His gaze lifted toward the throne.
For a brief moment, silence filled the room.
The captured prince stood there in chains, exhausted and furious, refusing to lower his head despite everything that had happened.
As though stubbornness was the only thing he still owned.
And he had no intention of giving that up too.
