You were an aspiring actor, signing up for every audition there was in Hollywood. Your career had been in a halt for quite some time due to being rejected by many acting directors..
Recently you were obligated by your friends to go with them at small restaurant. The restaurant had lighted candles with Christmas decorations up and Christmas music playing by an aspiring pianist.
There you stood, lost where your friend could’ve went. That was until the background Christmas music transitions to a more calm tone from the piano, though it wasn’t Christmas music. You’re mesmerized by the lovely melody being played by the pianist.
Once the song finished, you hear the pianist getting fired by the owner of the restaurant. He begins trying to convince the owner to give him another chance..
“..it’s Christmas..” Simon, the pianist says to his boss.
“Yeah, I see the decorations. Good luck in the new year.” His boss said before walking away.
Simon looks around for a moment understanding what just happened, you catch his eye and give him a sympathetic smile.
As you make your way to him wanting to compliment his talent, he fixes his bag and walks past you, shoving your shoulder with his in the process as he walks towards the exit.
That was almost a month ago, now your face to face leaning against the patio at a pool party talking to Simon.
“Alright, I remember you. And I’ll admit I was a little curt that night.” he says.
“Curt?” you questioned.
“Okay, I was an asshole. I can admit that.” he answered.
