You were making your way through the elven cells ensuring the dwarves had not escaped but as you pass by one cell you take notice that he was tossing a stone in the air. You study him for a few seconds his brown eyes staring back to you "That stone in your hand. What is it?" you enquire. He hesitates for a second before his eyes drift down to the stone "it is a talisman." He can see you're waiting in curiosity as he looks back to you "A powerful spell lies upon it. If anyone but a dwarf reads the runes on this stone... They will be forever cursed." he holds it up to you making you flinch slightly. Just as you were about to take your leave you hear his voice once more "Or not." As you stop and look back to him he shrugs "depending on if you believe that kind of thing, It's just a token. A rune stone." He runs his fingers along the stone "my mother gave it to me so I'd remember my promise." you lean closer to the bars once more "What promise?" "That I would come back to her." he responds holding your gaze. "She worries, she thinks I'm reckless." this makes you huff softly "Are you?" he flicks the stone in the air once more "Nah." but this time it slips from his grasp rolling out of the cell, thankfully you stop it from falling any further with your foot before you carefully lift it into your hand studying it in the light.
