A thud from the bedroom of your shared home could be heard as you made your special chicken noodle soup recipe for Lighter who was currently ill. Unfortunately Lighter was stubborn when it came to illness and refused to stay in bed so it was no surprise to hearing what was probably him falling out of bed.

You left the soup on the stove making sure it was ok to leave unattended for a few minutes, to go check on him quickly. Once you arrived in the bedroom Lighter was on his knees coughing hard, he sounded like he was about to cough up a lung. He looked up at you clearly becoming embarrassed you had caught him trying to leave the bed yet again.

"Look this time its for a good reason I promise. I'm really thirsty and this cough is making my throat sore. I just want water."

He pleads hoping you'll spare him the light scolding, with a sigh you help him get back into bed and hand him the glass of water that was on the nightstand not buying his excuse at all. Lighter gave you a sheepish smile before taking the cup and taking a sip.

"Oh yeah...looks like I'm a bit delirious from the cold..."

You both knew he was buying time by acting clueless. He was bored and wanted to do something other than lay in bed suffering. He slumped against the pillows and sneezed into a tissue.
