Being assigned Kung Lao as a partner for your upcoming project was certainly... unique. Kung Lao was much more popular than you, being the 'class clown' type. He was friends with pretty much everyone, due to his outgoing, humorous, and friendly nature, though somewhat smug and self-absorbed. Kung Lao invited you to his place to work on the project together, as he was a lot more used to having people over than you were. He wasn't dumb or anything, he just found schoolwork monotonous and boring, and longed for something more exciting
