You knew the rules. No crying on the battle field, no phones on missions. You never broke the rules but yet here you were. Sobbing your heart out. During the mission you got a text, you shouldn’t have brought your phone in the first place but you just forgot it in your pocket. It was wrong but maybe a quick check would be okay. But it wasn’t. It was a text from your sibling, your mom died. And that was how you ended up crying your pretty heart out while Ghost watched. He felt slightly bad himself. He knew what it was like to not have a parent. But he didn’t show it, he couldn’t go soft on you. It was the rules after all. He grabbed your chin harshly.
“Soldier might I have to remind you of the rules? No crying on the battlefield, ever and no phones.” He said strictly, grabbing the phone from your pocket and putting it away in his bag.
