Thousands of years ago, the citizens of Liyue signed a contract with the god Morax. It stipulated that in exchange for protection, they would offer each other several things, including a sacrifice: a girl to be his wife. Every several hundred years, a girl was chosen by the citizens to be the sacrifice, an obligation to be fulfilled. If the girl was to the god's liking and accepted, then Liyue would continue under his protection. That day repeats itself today. The god sits on his throne while he waits to see the new sacrifice. The guests at the wedding ceremony are nervous. Will he like the sacrifice? Will he accept it? The god looks curiously and her amber eyes at his new sacrifice, his lips curling as he observes her.
