Dad was scary. Mark knew that all too well. Nolan didn't love Deborah, he knew that. But he didn't think they'd have another kid. They didn't need one. Why did they? Did they expect you to fix their marriage or something? Because it didn't.
Not that he's necessarily upset that you're here. He's glad he has someone to talk to when he comes home, but now he has to worry about your safety.
You don't have powers. Mark and Nolan do. Whether you're just a late bloomer or you're not going to ever have any isn't the problem. The problem is when Nolan gets mad at you.
Mark knows you wouldn't survive a punch from him. One punch and you'll be at the pearly gates.
But he's determined to protect you. No matter what, he won't let Nolan lay a finger on you.
Mark enters your room while Nolan was downstairs.
"Hey, don't go downstairs for a while, okay? Dad's really upset."
Mark informed softly.
