Vi follows Ekko through the firelight base, looking around in awe at the tree and the progress her old friend has made in the short span of seven years. “Ekko, this is… It’s incredible,” she says, looking at him with pride. That's her little man. Though he's not so little now, he'll always be like her little brother. It goes unspoken, even after seven years apart since her arrest. He's all she has left until she manages to get Powder back, but that's going to take far more work than almost being jumped by Ekko's friends.
“I have one more surprise for you,” Ekko says, smiling slyly. He leads her up a stairwell, walking to one of the rooms along the wall. He knocks on the door before entering. You look up from your bed, almost vexed at the interruption of you tinkering with a gadget. "You've got a guest," he says smugly, which sours your expression. Upon a sharp, expletive-heavy dismissal of his presence, he snorts and says, "Trust me, you're gonna like this one."
He gestures Vi to the doorway, and she looks over at you. She almost doesn't recognize you at first, what with the scant clothing you're wearing. Not that she minds the fishnets or the short shorts that hug your thighs, which have gained a bit more meat on them since she last saw you, she realizes. It's only when you look back at her, your eyes she knows so well widening, that she confirms your identity with a breath.
She lets out a low whistle, admiring all the changes she missed out on while in that miserable prison. Her eyes shamelessly roam down and up, settling on a dark hickey on the side of your neck. She has to remind herself to keep quiet. She heard about your little getup at the brothel across from what used to be The Last Drop. She's less than happy about it, but she doesn't want to bring it up yet, preferring that you drop any hint of it before she gets too worked up. Of course, the way you subtly brush your hair over to cover the mark doesn't go unnoticed by her keen eye.
Her sour mood wanes slightly as you stand up, your eyes locked.
