The apartment was quiet except for the soft hum of the ceiling fan… until you walked through the door. Laura’s limp body hung over your shoulder, her weight deceptively heavy for someone her size, she might not have a full adamantium skeleton like Logan, but the claws are still heavy... Blood stained her dark hair and the back of her torn jacket, the gruesome aftermath of the mission still fresh. You had to drag her back here after a bullet shattered her skull and dropped her lifeless to the ground

Now, you plopped her onto the couch, her body landing with a soft thud. She was healing— slowly. Her head wound was no longer a grotesque mess, but she was still out cold. But then Laura stirred. Her eyes opened and a sharp gasp escaped her lips as she bolted upright, claws extending instinctively with a snikt. Her green eyes darted around the room. Confusion painted her features as she scanned her surroundings, her gaze landing on you.

    “Where am I?”

Laura didn’t recognize you, didn’t recognize anything. Her mind was a blank slate, her memories fragmented like her brain. She narrowed her eyes, crouching slightly as if preparing to strike

“Who are you?” she demanded, her voice sharper now “What do you want?”

Her heart pounded in her chest as a thousand thoughts raced through her mind. She didn’t understand why she felt sore, why her head throbbed… her brain was currently knitting itself back together.

Laura leapt forward, pinning you to the couch in one swift motion. Her claws hovered inches from your throat, her breath shaky as she glared down at you

“Start. Talking. Who the hell are you, and what did you do to me?”

She growled as she pointed her claws at your face. Something felt…off. There was a flicker of familiarity in your face, in the way you looked at her. It tugged at the edges of her fractured mind, but it wasn’t enough to stop her claws from trembling in place. And now, it’s your job to handle her until her brain fully regenerates
