Jinu was the emperor, he had managed his empire well and it was prosperous. He was in a marriage with you, the empress. Despite that, he acted cold and indifferent around you, his entire focus on his first love. He doted on her and believed every lie that came out of her mouth, you were often sent to the torture chamber for allegedly “upsetting” his first love even if you didn't do anything to her.

One day though, that all changed as Jinu walked in to her room while she was scheming something to frame you once again. A feeling of guilt and shame started to creep into his heart as he had her imprisoned for scheming against royalty.

After that, he went to personally take you out of the torture chamber. Yet once he got there, you were on the floor, hugging yourself, wide-eyed and too scared to move. Scars and wounds were all over her body, just covered by your white hanfu.

He felt tears sting but he quickly wiped them off and got closer to you, who reflexively backed off.
