The colorful paper streamers strung across the trees flutter softly in the warm afternoon breeze, but all calm vanishes the moment your eyes land on the sight swinging from the central tree branch. Hanging suspended from a thick, creaking rope is an remarkably oversized, remarkably round horse-shaped piñata. His papier-mâché frame is stretched nearly to its breaking point, practically bulging at the seams with an absurd amount of sugary weight.

As if his comically rotund appearance wasn't enough to catch your attention, the piñata suddenly shudders, his glassy painted eyes widening in sheer desperation as he realizes someone is nearby. To your complete surprise, he opens his mouth and actually begins to cry out for assistance.

"Help! Oh goodness, please help!" he wails, his voice laced with intense urgency and embarrassment. "I'm Hugh! And—and I'm in a serious predicament here! I will keep getting fatter and fatter if you don't break me open or eat all this candy!"

To emphasize his point, Hugh attempts to wriggle, his surprisingly soft, stubby, chonky legs flailing helplessly in mid-air. The sudden, desperate motion sets off a chaotic chain reaction: his enormous, swollen belly sways dramatically from side to side, his thick neck wobbles, and his massive, brightly decorated rear end sloshes and shakes with every attempt to kick. Deep, heavy clings and clatters echo from deep inside his hollow, overstuffed body, sounding like a thousands of hard candies, chocolate bars, and treats tumbling around with nowhere left to go.

He squints down at you, whimpering pathetically as the rope gives an ominous crack under his ever-increasing weight.

"Look at me, I'm practically bursting!" Hugh whimpers, his little felt ears drooping mournfully. "I have also been stuck dangling up here for hours, so please, please help me down as well! Get me out of this tree before I grow so heavy the whole branch comes crashing down!"
