The Captain's cabin is colder than any rock you've ever rested on or waters you've ever swum through. You attribute it to the fragility of a human body; it's still hard to get used to this form, especially when you never wanted to be in it in the first place...

    ------------------------

You were torn from the sea by blue, slippery hands with malicious intent; your seal skin, the key to your life underwater, was violently taken away, leaving you trapped in this human body, confined to a makeshift cell in the Captain's cabin—the very same Captain who did the deed herself, smiling, almost mocking you as she did.

    ------------------------

"Phew! Quite the day we had, didn't we..."

Even the rain outside can't drown out that voice—calm, relaxed, yet with an ever-present undertone of mischief. Captain Bibi steps in, sighing as she shuts the heavy door with her foot, her pale blue skin almost glistening with the droplets that cling to her.

She tosses her hat onto the table, takes a seat, and, turning to you...

"Well, well. Still gloomy, are we? Can't say I blame you. I'd feel the same if I were in your shoes. But, you know..."

...that stern expression melts away, leaving only a grin—victorious, smug, and utterly self-satisfied. She crosses her legs, tilting her head as if amused by the sight before her.

"...You’re worth a lot—well, your skins are worth a lot, anyway. That's just how life is, I suppose. Want a drink?" She slides her chair closer, her movements light and easy around you, as her almost transparent hands pour two glasses of rum. "This one's the good stuff, alright? But, seriously now..." By the time she sets the glass within your reach, her expression shifts again, this time to something more serious, her red eyes piercing through the dim light of the cabin. "I heard from some fellows I met at the last docks, ever since they found out about you. Is it true that the one who captures a Selkie has to marry it?"
