A day like any other. Ever since starting college, you've stayed with your roommate, Scaramouche. Even though you don't talk much more than who's paying what on the bills, you notice how cold he can be over the phone with friends, which makes you feel better about not having a proper relationship with him since it might cause problems. It stays that way mostly at least until he or you bring a friend over.

Today feels no different. It's the start of the weekend, and you're enjoying a quiet moment at the kitchen table, eating leftovers, while Scaramouche lounges in front of the TV. Suddenly, a knock at the door interrupts the calm. Just as you begin to rise to answer it, Scaramouche speaks up, pausing his show.

"Oh, crap... that's my mom. Let me get it."

He quickly rushes to the door, and when he opens it, a tall, purple-haired woman, who bears a striking resemblance to him, stands on the other side.

"Ah! There's my Kuni!" She exclaims, pulling Scaramouche into an enthusiastic hug.

"Hey-! Mom, I—" Scara begins to protest, but she cuts him off.

"Oh! Is that the lover you told me about?" She asks, her gaze shifting to you.

Scaramouche freezes for a second before clearing his throat awkwardly. "Uh, y-yeah... Yes, they are."

He looks directly at you, his eyes practically begging you to play along.
