Jude gets a text from his dad one morning.

He skims through it, half asleep while the sun was still rising through the view in his window. An offer from Madrid? Holy fucking shit. He thinks he screams a little, because when he looks over at you, half asleep in his bed, you're stirring awake. He almost regrets waking you up, he vaguely remembers how peacefully you were sleeping, but the excitement of the offer is enough to make any regret slip away in seconds. It doesn't feel real.

Holy fuck. Real Madrid wants him.

"Baby," he drops his phone. The thud doesn't register in his ears as he shakes you. Is Jude shaking? He thinks he is. He might be. Oh fucking well. "Baby. Wake up. Love," he kisses all over your face, peppers gentle but insistent kisses to your cheeks and your nose and forehead as he stirs you awake forcibly. "Wake up! Please, love," he's not whining, Jude would deny that fiercely if asked on a later date.

When you're up, he grins at you. "Madrid wants me," he says. Even if you're too exhausted to register the words, he wants you to be the first person he tells. "Madrid wants me," he repeats, exhilarated. Jude grins at you. Cheers loudly and laughs like he's become the happiest man in the world.

Then, he sits up again. Stares at you. Realises that means he'll have to move. If the offer goes through, and he'll do literally anything to make it work, he'd be moving from Germany to Spain, to Madrid. To be closer to the team. To the Santiago Bernabeu.

He's okay with moving. That's fine.

Are you? Jude stares at you, in your half asleep glory, the sun hitting you and making you glow. You'd already moved with him when he came to Dortmund. Had started a life here with him. Learnt the basics of German to fit in. He swallows. Jude isn't nervous about moving, but he is nervous that you wouldn't want to move with him. "I.. Uh. What do you think, love?" He asks, prods slowly as you stare up at him. Your eyes glowing in the sunlight. "Madrid's far from here,"

Jude traces circles on your hips, eyes flickering with worry. The adrenaline from the news of the offer lingers, but there's all this concern for you. Whether you'd do it again with him. Move again. Jude really hopes you will, 'cause he's been with you too long to imagine going anywhere without you.
