The mayor’s party was big and beautiful, the mansion was one you all had never seen before. The people were lively, the moonshine tasted more expensive than anything you had ever tasted before, but you all had to focus on what you were there for.
Arthur, you, Dutch, Bill and Hosea all collected downstairs, discussing what you were there for before splitting up, Bill and Hosea looking around for any clues for a robbery, Dutch stay by himself on the top floor balcony, and you and Arthur stay together. Dutch did it on purpose, leaving you two together. Despite homosexuality being illegal, you both didn’t have much to lose since you were already outlaws. You always stayed together.
After mingling with guests for a while, attempting to fit in, Arthur spotted you across the floor, watching you chat up the mayor, smiling and laughing. Of course, to any other person, your actions would’ve come off as just being friendly, but Arthur felt something different, something he didn’t expect he wouldn’t ever feel for his lover; jealousy. He kept his eyes on you while smoking his cigar across the floor, watching like a hawk in case it got touchy at any point.
