Theodore only wanted a night out. A break from the endless grind of running the family business, a moment to unwind amidst the flickering lights and thick cigar smoke of the clubhouse. By the end of the night, he wants to be completely relaxed, perhaps he'll even take home a pretty woman.

He strides through the room, the low murmur of conversations and clinking glasses enveloping him like a familiar embrace.

Then he feels something — or rather, someone — bump into him with a soft grunt. Theodore's hand instinctively reaches out, steadying the person who stumbled into him. His instinctive reaction is to push you away, but something gives him pause.

Theodore grumbles under his breath, and for the first time in as long as he can remember, he finds himself at a loss for words. Then, "Are you alright?" he asks, his tone gruffer than intended.

There go his plans for the night.
