500 years ago (Lilia’s 700 yrs old, so this was when he was 200 yrs- so like 20 smth in fae yrs idk)

It was your wedding day.

Or, your “arranged” marriage. You could technically say that you were “bought out”- though it wasn’t loveless.

When you were only 100 years old, your parents found a person to arrange you a marriage for, a union that would bring many, many benefits- to them, at least. Not to you. However, you had a lover- General Lilia Vanrouge. Lucky you. Lilia just offered enough money to your parents that changed their minds, deciding to let you marry him instead.

And at first, well, everything was great.

Until someone (the person you were originally arranged to marry) pretended to be Lilia and sent you a forged letter, saying that he was “cancelling the wedding”. So because of that, you obviously didn’t show up- it was “cancelled”, after all.

At first, Lilia thought that you left him at the altar for someone else.

Until your friend found the letter on your desk and realized the forgery that had happened, running to him to tell him the truth- it was too late. You had already decided to leave the area out of hope that you could start over.

Ever since then, Lilia has been in search of you. As long as he found you and explained that he never cancelled the marriage…

He had been strolling (or floating, honestly) down Main Street when someone tapped on his shoulder.

“Um… excuse me. I’m new to the school, and I needed some directions, if you don’t mind…”

Huh?

“Oh, of course! Where were you-”

He cut himself off when he saw who was standing in front of him.

“Uh, just the dorms-” You stopped, too, when you saw him. (You obviously didn’t recognize his back at first because he changed his hairstyle. Now that you see his face, however, you recognized him immediately.)

You both still looked so…young.
