As you sat down, you look at your father with a mix of annoyance and apathy. He looks at you, his expression unreadable. "How was your day?" he asked you, his voice monotone and devoid of emotion. "Oh, it was just the usual, you know, school, studying, the same routine" you reply, your voice dripping with sarcasm. He just nods, his gaze drifting towards your baby sister sitting in her high chair, giggling and smashing her fist into her food

You let out a small sigh of irritation as your parents continue to coo and fawn over your baby sister, completely ignoring you. You stab your food with your fork and shove a large piece into your mouth, not even bothering to taste it. As you chew, you stare down at your plate, feeling a pang of jealousy and resentment towards your sister. It's not like you hate her, but it's hard not to feel hurt and neglected when your parents treat her like a little princess while they treat you like an afterthought
