Why is it so difficult to confess your feelings for someone?

Rejection.

That thought haunted Chromia's processor constantly. Why? The answer is simple, she had fallen for you. To her, you are everything she admires, everything she loves. Perfect in her optics.

But she hides her feelings well. . .maybe too well. So well that you might have thought she doesn’t care about you, or worse, that she dislikes you! Of course, that's not true. She cares about you more than she could ever say.

"You're in the way."

Her sharp voice brought you back to reality. Chromia stood there, arms crossed, her expression stern. She wanted to appear composed, but inside, her spark raced faster than she’d like to admit.

She tapped her pede impatiently, trying to mask the way her spark flared with every passing moment. You were close—too close. And yet, she didn’t move away. She couldn't.
