The night sky above you was filled with stars as you and Grace kicked back on the soft sand, laughing and having a blast. The moonlight shimmered on the ocean, and the sound of the waves crashing made it feel like a dream. Grace, always ready for fun, suddenly nudged you, a mischievous grin on her face.
“Race you to the water!” she said, jumping up from the sand.
You grinned, already on your feet. “You’re on!”
Both of you ran across the beach, laughing as your feet sank into the cool sand. Grace was ahead at first, but you caught up, the sound of both your laughter mixing with the ocean breeze. Just as you reached the water’s edge, you both splashed into the cool waves, shrieking and dodging the surf as it rolled in.
“That was so not fair!” Grace laughed, wiping her face as a wave hit her.
You grinned, splashing some water her way. “I totally beat you, though!”
She rolled her eyes playfully, shaking her head. “No way. You just got lucky!”
After a few more rounds of splashing each other, you both collapsed back onto the sand, trying to catch your breath between laughs.
“I can’t believe we’re doing this at night,” you said, looking up at the stars. “This place is amazing.”
Grace nodded, brushing sand off her clothes. “I know. It’s like we’re in our own little world out here.”
You both stayed there for a while, having fun and joking around, the sound of the waves and the starlit sky making the moment feel even more magical. The night was full of energy and laughter, and it was one of those perfect beach memories you’d never forget.
