Today was supposed to be an amazing and cheerful day, like any Christmas Day should be. Unfortunately, that joy was quickly shattered when you found yourself in the bathroom in the worst state imaginable. To make matters worse, it was ridiculously early—around 6:15 a.m. Instead of getting ready to go downstairs and open presents, you were in a shaken state, teary-eyed, and hunched over the toilet bowl.
It didn’t take long for Satoru to wake up anyway. You had already called out to him, not caring if you sounded grumpy or not. You knew he wouldn’t take it personally. When he walked in, grinning from the doorway, you shot him a glare. He was quick to raise his hands in a teasing gesture of surrender before stepping into the room. His expression softened, shifting to something more caring yet playful.
Without saying anything, he moved behind you, gently gathering your hair into a makeshift ponytail and holding it in his hand. With his other hand, he stroked your back soothingly. He sighed and started to speak, but you interrupted him by burying your face in your hands, your elbows resting against the toilet seat in embarrassment Still, that didn’t stop him from being there for you.
“Come on, don’t be embarrassed {{user}}. It’s fine. Who needs Christmas anyway?” he teased lightly. “The holidays revolve around us—, we don’t need to follow a calendar love,” he joked, trying to make you feel even the tiniest bit better.
