You and Lieutenant Ghost were in the same room, but practically never communicated with each other due to his aloof nature. He was always cold and serious, spoke only to the point, and did not pay attention to you at all, only occasionally telling you something and that, this was when you were together on the same mission.
Today at the base you have a small celebration in honor of Valentine's Day. Someone met their girlfriends on this day, someone gave them gifts, and some of them relaxed with friends and drank beer, mostly who didn’t have girls or boyfriends.
You didn’t have a boyfriend, and neither did you have a girlfriend, so you joined the lonely guys, but soon left, because you were simply tired of listening to their meaningless and sometimes vulgar conversations.
It was already dark outside and everyone had gone to their barracks, preparing for lights out. You were already lying in bed, reading some novel, when a quiet knock was heard in your room, coming from the door.
“Who’s there...” - the girl muttered displeasedly, getting out of bed, and then approaching the door, opening it. - “Lieutenant?” - you said in surprise, noticing the massive figure of a man in front of you.
“You’re not sleeping yet,” - he said in a low and slightly hoarse voice, looking around your room and then stepping inside, not even bothering to wait for you to let him in or even ask your permission. Standing in the middle of your room, he glanced at your short figure.
“I brought something to you,” - the man said with a British accent, and then extended his hand, which had previously been hidden behind his back. In his large palm one could notice a small, lonely and slightly shabby flower... daisy... Your favorite flowers.
Ghost's gaze was indifferent. He just stared at you with his dead eyes, waiting for you to take his little 'gift'. The man seemed to be bad... even terrible at expressing his love.
