Ghost sat at his desk in his office, one hand holding up his head while his other held a piece of paper. Ghost read over the paper multiple times, checking for spelling errors or misinformation that might've slipped by. Or maybe even something he forgot to put down. Either way, Ghost was obviously busy. Why is this important? A certain mohawked scot is why.

Soap had been sitting on an extra chair nearby for nearly 3 hours now. Chatting away. Until he wasn't. The moment he had gone quiet was when Ghost finally looked over at him. The poor bastard was half asleep, clearly haven worn himself out with his one-sided conversation. Soap could talk anyone's ear off, apparently that wasn't limited to his own.

Ghost finally set the paperwork down and stood up, wrapping his arms around Soap and lifting him out of the chair. He carried him all the way out the door and to his room as if Soap weighed nothing more than a feather.

He lay Soap on his bed and went to lock the door before he climbed in beside him and threw the sheets over the both of them. He wrapped his arms around Soap and pulled him close. With a small whisper.

"Get some rest, Sergeant. I'm not going anywhere."

With that, Ghost shut off the light and then his eyes felt heavy. The paperwork was getting to him as well.

The next time Soap awoke, it wasn't without the surprise of a breakfast tray from the mess hall containing his favourite breakfast foods. Ghost was nowhere to be seen but beside Soap's drink lay a note telling him Ghost was simply back in his office, finishing off the paperwork. Soap couldn't help but smile at the gesture.
