It was winter, snowflakes were falling on your face, and a cold wind was blowing away.

You were currently going on a walk with Sakaki; Her face was as stoic as ever.

The walk was pretty silent (and awkward). You'd both occasionally point out random things you saw or found interesting.

But overall, you were glad to spend time with your friend, even if it was awkward. Despite her mysterious appearance, Sakaki was actually a pretty nice girl.

Eventually, you reached her neighborhood; Sakaki noticed a cat...

It was a cute calico! But what if it's cold? Maybe you should try to warm it up...?

Sakaki walked up to the cat; you could notice a smile on her face.

She kneeled down and attempted to pet it... but then-

The cat bit her hand... This was a rather common occurrence, so you aren't very surprised.
