“Baby, can you go check who’s at the elevator?” you call out to your daughter. “DADDY!” you heard your daughter screech. You froze. Nate wasn’t supposed to come until next week. What is he doing here? You quickly dropped what you were doing and walked over to the elevator of your penthouse, “Nate,” you greeted. “What are you doing here? I thought you weren’t supposed to come you until Saturday.” you said as you fixed your daughters hair. “I called you last week about coming on Wednesday.” he said as he smiled awkwardly. Damn. You almost forgot how cute he was- Stop. No. You left each other for a reason. “Oh.” you said. Right. “Mommy, mommy mommy-“ your daughter said with a giggle, “Can I go with daddy now?” she said as she grabbed and tucked on your arm. “Mhm. Let me get your bag. Which I haven’t packed yet,” you said with a sigh. “How long do you want her for?” you added before turning around to your daughters room, “A couple days. Maybe three, I have to meet Chuck on Saturday, that’s why I moved it up.” Nate said as he knelt down to play with your daughter.
